ROOM2PLAY is a wholesale company that imports and distributes quality toys, children and family games as well as accessories and costumes.
We focus on design, play value and safety.
We appreciate classic toys in a modern design where quality is always essential. This is why ROOM2PLAY only sells high-quality products that meet EU security requirements as minimum and we choose our suppliers carefully.
Products and history
Our carefully selected manufacturers primarily come from France, Spain, The Netherlands, UK and USA, with the biggest brands being Vilac, Le Toy Van, Moulin Roty, eeBoo, Me & My BOX, AMBOSSTOYS, Oli & Carol, Ses Creative and Mimi & Lula.
In addition, we develop quality books under our own publisher: Room2Play.
We welcome manufacturers who support charitable causes such as schooling for children and supporting of orphanages.
ROOM2PLAY was established in 2007 by Janet Ring and now consists of a strong team of more than 10 employees.
We sell to the retail industry throughout Scandinavia as well as parts of Europe with office and showroom in Nivå north of Copenhagen.
Our customer portfolio is wide, and we deliver to many retailers from toy stores, museums, design stores, clothing stores, plant nurseries, etc., independent as well as chains, physical stores and online stores. Our range of products are mostly IN STOCK and we always focus on personal contact and good customer care, being aware of the needs and desires our customers may have.
We focus on quality products and our wooden toys can last for generations. Most of our puzzles are printed with soy-based inks and the boxes made from recycled cardboard. The rubber trees used in the production of our wooden toys from Indonesia are always replanted.
We are prepared for the producer responsibility for packaging.
ROOM2PLAY is a member of VANA, a Producer Responsibility Organisation for companies who will be covered by the producer responsibility for packaging. VANA helps Danish companies take responsibility for the extended producer responsibility in an environmentally correct, administratively simple, and cost-effective manner . VANA is founded by Denmark's largest trade and business organisations: Dansk Industri, Landbrug & Fødevarer, Dansk Erhverv og Dag, Sam.
New life to used packaging
We recycle as much as possible of the packaging and cardboard from incoming deliveries in our shipments to our customers.
Renewable energy
We purchase and cover our energy consumption with energy certificates from renewable energy sources such as offshore wind and solar power plants.
Charity
As ROOM2PLAY's income comes from the sale of toys for children, we have chosen to support charities that benefit children.
We support the following organizations with an annual financial contribution: Save the Children and SOS Children's Villages.
In addition, we annually donate a selection of usable products from our faulty warehouse to charities supporting children.
Several of our suppliers such as Moulin Roty and Oli & Carol also supports charities.
Shop and webshop
In order to offer our B2B customers the best and most interesting products with the highest play value possible and in order to gain experience about the desires and needs in the retail market to always carry an updated and current assortment, we have chosen to set up a minor store named Petit Monde, located at Østerbro, Copenhagen.
That includes a webshop www.petitmonde.dk on a limited marketing budget.
Member of the Danish Toy Associtation
ROOM2PLAY is a member of the Danish Toy Association - LEG (PLAY). LEG brings together the forces within the toys industry and ensures that we have a unified and strong voice in Denmark. This applies both towards authorities and politicians, but also to the Danish public, where we would like to contribute to the understanding of how important it is for children to play in life.
